Louis Poulsen Toldbod Suspended lamp 17 cm gray blue

Louis Poulsen designers created the Toldbod pendant lamp in 2009 with a light distribution based on the PH Ellipse reflector – the latest street lighting concept from Poul Henningsen. In 1982, the outdoor Tolbod 290 was introduced. Following the success of this model, the Tolbod indoor glass suspension was launched. The metal suspensions were added later and complemented by the four larger editions in 2019. The Toldbod suspension directs the majority of the light downwards, following PH's philosophy of shaping the light to illuminate spaces without ever directly hitting the eyes. The opaque white part inside the elliptical screen helps create a uniform light, perfect for targeted lighting and room atmosphere. The Toldbod pendant lamp is based on Louis Poulsen's philosophy that the simpler the design, the greater the flexibility. The defined and soft shape of the Toldbod pendant lamp makes it perfect on its own, but its particular design allows it to be used in rows or groups in a single shade or by combining multiple colors.

Lighting system

The pendant lamp emits a soft light directed downwards. The white satin internal part of the elliptical screen helps to guarantee a homogeneous distribution of light.

This product complies with the requirements contained in the European Directives, RoHS Directive 2011/65 and 2015/863. The product has been designed so that it can be completely disassembled and reused. Louis Poulsen is part of ELRETUR which guarantees the reuse of electronic waste (WEEE) in Europe. This product must be treated as electronic waste. The product is packaged in a fabric bag and a cardboard box. Cardboard is made with at least 75% recycled fiber. The additional cardboard material comes from FSC approved sources.
