Extreme Performance - Compact Package

For the S/510, every aspect of the previous generation's internal workings was examined without regard to its critical, customer-driven success. We took a fresh look at power requirements, driver enhancements, and special filters, updating each to extract every extra performance possible. All this along with the cabinet refinements required for these upgrades to emerge cleanly. This latest S-range is a triumphant development that has exceeded every expectation of our design team.

Our requirements were much stronger deep bass output between 20-35Hz, dramatically improved theatrical dynamics and an even more open and spacious soundstage that benefits both music and movies. We turned to our NextGen 3 amplifier, tuned to 500 watts with significant power reserves, added a lightweight carbon fibre skin to the rear of the driver to handle the extra power and developed two new sets of custom filters to extract the maximum in terms of raw power and spaciousness. Finally, we gave the S/510 the ability to be stacked in 4- or 6-unit linear arrays, just like our reference models.

Invisibly Updated - S/510 Bass Engine

The S/510 required updates to its ContinuousCast™ Alloy Cone to allow it to survive its massive power upgrades. To allow its thin aluminum cone to survive 500 watts and an incredibly long stroke, we added an ultra-lightweight pure carbon fiber cone support strategically placed over portions of the cone's rear surface. This has two benefits: it strengthens and stiffens the cone, and it also eliminates reversion, where the return wave inside the cabinet now does not interfere with the main bass launch into the room. The result is tighter, much louder bass.

Nothing passive about it - SuperProgressive™ Passive Radiator

Our uniquely tuned passive radiators use special suspensions, now with 8mm more linear travel, to produce performance unlike conventional subwoofers. Our new SuperProgressive™ passive radiator produces an extremely long stroke that allows for very loud output while maintaining the variable stiffness of its suspension. This allows it to act like a compact 12" sealed box design at low volumes and a high-output 14" design at its limit.

500 Watt Monoblock Inside - NextGen 3 Amplifier

With 500 watts, the NextGen 3 amplifier is borrowed from our previous flagship model and produces huge reserves of power and current. The 20% power increase (previous version was 400 watts) is necessary to deliver the high output levels required for the modern theater, as well as to produce extremely deep bass in a high-end 2-channel system. This power increase is necessitated by our musically-driven development of an entirely new circuit called PerfectFilter™ that balances both frequency extremes.

PerfectFilter offers two seemingly disparate qualities: it extends the strong, smooth response of the extreme low frequencies while simultaneously opening up air and delicacy to the system's mid and high frequencies. Additionally, we applied custom PureTheatre™ filters to allow the S/510 to keep up with modern theater effects effortlessly.

Stacked for Maximum Performance - S Series Line Array

In the real world, bass occurs with width, depth and height. Stacking up to three units per side (stereo or theater LR main speakers) illuminates the proper perspective and height of sound events. This elevates the reproduction from conventional stereo or theater to a floor-to-ceiling, life-size panoramic perspective of every sonic event.
