Airship II offers High Level Input, Low Level Input, .1/LFE-RCA Input and Balanced XLR .1/LFE Input. LFE and High-Level can operate simultaneously for REL Theatre Reference performance.

The best of both worlds

Airship II allows simultaneous use of our 5.8 gig connection for both the High-Level connection and the .1/LFE channel needed for the highest quality theatre. This way, both 2-channel music and multi-channel theater are supported simultaneously, meaning the REL owner can use their REL without having to make any additional modifications to enjoy any form of music or theater.

Our high-level input is designed to accept stereo (2-channel) signals from the speaker terminals of your receiver, integrated amplifier, or power amplifiers. This ensures that the subwoofer receives exactly the same signal as the main speakers, meaning the bass character from the main system is passed on to our sub-bass system. Together with our extremely fast and natural-sounding PerfectFilter™ input circuitry, the Airship II ensures that you reap the benefits of REL's superior system integration; RELs are known for their seamless, rich integration where the subwoofer position cannot be acoustically localized.

For maximum theatrical performance, we have equipped the .1/LFE circuit with a dedicated wireless channel, allowing the largest and most dynamic special effects in the theater to be correctly replicated in all their glory. Airship II provides 2 channels in parallel: one for music and theater in hHigh-l Level (or low-level, increasingly necessary for applications such as active wireless speakers) and a second channel for .1/LFE in theater use.

When both are used correctly, a normal theater is transformed; the cold, sharp sound that most theaters broadcast becomes rich and full-bodied. Dialogue and atmospheric effects take on new drama and realism because the full range of sound is provided during every moment of the film by our high-level, while the .1 channel provides extra emphasis during the 15-20 minutes of a film where this channel is active. It really is the best of both worlds.

We designed and engineered Airship II to offer a simple, elegant pairing that works as seamlessly as it looks. Simply connect both the receiver and transmitter within seconds of each other, press a button and Airship II will search for the matching receiver and pairings. The standard pairing time is less than 5 seconds.
