Large dimensions, the Studio Monitor 4349 speakers, in retro style with speakers derived from professional production D2, offer extreme power, dynamics and precision in a classic design, including the iconic blue baffle.
Generously sized and with a vintage style, the 4349 speakers offer features such as the ultra-treble level control and the HDI (High-Definition Imaging) horn that provides incredibly powerful dynamics and accurate sound reproduction.
The dual D2415K 1. 5", derived from the professional series, is equipped with a double annular diaphragm in Teonex polymer with very low mass to increase frequency extension, while the "V" shape reduces "break-up" phenomena.
The powerful 12-inch (300 mm) woofer of the 4349 speaker uses core JBL engineering techniques to ensure very high output with low distortion. The 3-inch (75 mm) long-throw voice coil, combined with dual opposed dampers, ensure maximum output with significantly reduced distortion. The pure pulp cone provides a light and rigid diaphragm and helps eliminate "break-up" phenomena by ensuring correct piston movement.
The crossover filter is made with air-wound inductors, spiral resistors and low ESR (equivalent series resistance) metal film capacitors. 25mm MDF panels are used to build the cabinet. The double front reflex duct has a flared profile to reduce aerodynamic turbulence.
On the back there are two pairs of screw terminals for the bi-wire/bi-amp. The available finishes are satin walnut or black walnut, combined with blue or black canvas grilles respectively.
The combination of traditional aesthetics, professional style and acoustic technologies cutting-edge technology, make the JBL 4349 a fantastic audiophile quality speaker.
