DUOCELL CONE WOOFER

The 17 cm woofer of the Minorca MC40 is equipped with a Duocell cone designed by Cabasse and manufactured with Cabasse Robotics. The very light, yet rigid and well-damped membrane has an exponential profile and variable thickness, to make maximum use of the dynamic qualities of the long-stroke motors, and a high force factor to bring all the precision and liveliness needed for high fidelity, faithful to live sound.

VARIABLE SLOPES CROSSOVERS

The Cabasse development protocol combines numerous measurements in an anechoic chamber, combining on-axis and 360° results. It ensures perfect control of both the directivity index and the total radiated power across the entire frequency bandwidth to meet SCS principles. It is a key process, along with listening sessions, in the development of crossover cards. Slopes can range from 6 to 24 dB per octave for optimum acoustic phase, taking into account the influence of the external shape of the cabinet to optimize the qualities of the coaxial drive units.
