Designed for Elegance - Incredibly Simple
Perfect for small to medium-sized rooms, the T/5x fits seamlessly into any décor. Floor firing is part of its secret; bass energy hits the floor and spreads evenly throughout the space, making it function like a larger model. For those who are particular about style, the hidden bonus is that this design even eliminates the grille, making it the purest of forms.
Slightly larger in volume than its predecessor, it actually appears smaller thanks to subtle design tweaks to minimize its visual presence. Finally, 5 layers of hand-rubbed lacquer in your choice of high-gloss white or piano black add a sheen to the gently rounded cabinetry.
Designed for Elegance - A 360 Degree Upgrade
Many don't realize the intense connection between performance and design here at REL. Performance is everything to us and therefore drives revisions to the physical design. Our engineers, recognizing the need for greater acoustic volume to achieve the goals of greater smoothness and power, turn to the designer working on scale to trick the eye into seeing a smaller, more compact footprint, even as the cabinet volume increases. Using gently rounded corner radii that allow the eye to slide and see less visual mass. The result is both modern and familiar, without unnecessary ornamentation.
Faster and deeper - Veloce
The T/5x borrows a single 8" (200mm) long-throw bass motor from its bigger brother, the T/7x. Developed using a lightweight aluminium and paper composite, this cone captures detail that will amaze, while providing enough power to go deeper than you would expect for its size. In the T/5x, its throw - its ability to play louder - has been increased. Internally, the suspension has received numerous upgrades akin to transforming a car's handling from a family sedan to a true sports car. More power, greater finesse.
Amplified power - REL's trusted brains and brawn
The T/5x builds on the trusted and expensive 125W Class A/B amplifiers of its predecessor. Internally, significant key elements for the upgrade in transparency and speed have been upgraded at no cost to REL's legendary reliability. Separate inputs for high-level input, low-level input (necessary for the growing number of powered active speakers emerging on the market) allow for a seamless and natural transition from speaker to subwoofer. And in the theater a separate, dedicated .1/LFE input for theater performance allows for automatic transition between music in high-end 2-channel and home theater applications without having to change a single setting. Magic? No, superior engineering.
A Standby mode switch is included on 220V units only.
Zero Compression Wireless - Unlimited Possibilities
At REL, we've developed an impeccable reputation for building the fastest, finest-sounding wireless systems available in the industry. REL never relies on digital compression, as it produces thin, lifeless sound. Instead, we've perfected an optional Arrow™ wireless system; so fast and dynamic that we are comfortable encouraging wireless use on one channel of a REL pair, while the other channel can be connected via cable.
