The new Hi-End CD mechanism is part of the new RS2 Series by Pro-Ject; designed using the most sophisticated materials, CD Box RS2 T offers uncompromising performance.
CD Box RS2 T is composed of an aluminum chassis with top loading through the aid of an elegant drawer, and an elastically suspended reading mechanism, with a carbon support structure. The servo system is integrated and placed under the mechanism, while the entire body, in aluminum turned from solid, is suspended on a proprietary system that uses silicone springs, which allow to control the level of external vibrations. Such a structured construction gives excellent rigidity to the entire system and at the same time great isolation from vibrations. A great advantage of the CD Box RS2 T is that it can never go out of alignment or warp due to high temperatures.
The sprockets for the laser pickup race are built on precision steel axles, while the chassis is milled with the utmost accuracy from a solid block, and each mechanic is individually turned and chromed. The robust chassis and electronics of this unit guarantee absolutely jitter-free digital signal transfer.
CD Box RS2 T is equipped with optical, coaxial, AES/EBU output interfaces on XLR and I²S + Masterclock output on HDMI which offers a perfect digital interconnection and is the ideal solution to overcome the intrinsic limitations of other types of connection.
The CD Box RS2 T is available in silver or black with a new aluminum remote control.
