Louis Poulsen Ph 3½-3 Suspended chandelier 33 cm red

To celebrate Poul Henningsen's 120th birthday on September 9, Louis Poulsen launches the new PH 3½-3 pendant lamp. The PH 3½-3 pendant lamp is based on Poul Henningsen's original designs from the late 1920s and early 1930s which feature his famous three-shade system. The pendant lamp has metal shades, available in green, yellow, red and white. The body of the luminaire is made of matt brown satin copper. All colors are inspired by Poul Henningsen's color universe. Like the designer, the fixtures are also very colourful. As an additional feature, all screens have a white rounded edge that accentuates the familiar profile of the three-screen device creating a beautiful optical symmetry. The screens are pressed at the Louis Poulsen factory in Vejen by Louis Poulsen staff, as few people know this technique. Even though the luminaire was created more than 80 years ago, it is modern and classic at the same time, suitable for a wide range of interior designs. It is considered a fascinating, simple, functional and unpretentious device. The PH 3½-3 pendant lamp is a piece of Danish design history. It offers functional and decorative lighting and enriches any interior with its presence both on and off. It is beautiful alone or combined with other luminaires.

Lighting system

The luminaire is glare-free 100%, with a design based on the principle of a three-screen reflective system, which directs most of the light downwards. The screens are made of deep-drawn aluminum with a white inner surface that ensures gentle downward light distribution. The light directed downwards is soft and pleasant.

Poul Henningsen (1894-1967), designer, architect, writer and Extremely influential Danish cultural critic, he had a huge impact on Danish thought and design. His legacy as an original master of light is an integral part of Louis Poulsen's tradition of creating exceptional light.
