Louis Poulsen Vl45 Radiohus Pale Rose Pendant Lamp Hanging Lamp 25 cm Pink Glass

The Radiohus VL 45 pendant was originally designed by Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for his Gesamtkunstwerk at the Danish Broadcasting House, also known as Radiohuset. The original 1940s design features a brass pendant and a three-layer, milky white, hand-blown glass shade, a classic and elegant combination that was reintroduced by Louis Poulsen in 2016. A reinterpretation of the iconic design, the VL 45 Pale Rose pendant is crafted from four-layer, pale pink, hand-blown glass paired with a brushed brass pendant, a subtle nod to contemporary interior design trends.

UNIQUE CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each VL 45 Pale Rose pendant is crafted from four-layer, hand-blown glass in a delicate pale pink color. Due to the nature of their production, these stunning hand-crafted screens are completely unique, so the colour and thickness of the glass may vary.

Lighting system

The fixture provides uniform, general and diffused lighting. The opening at the base of the glass produces a downward-directed light. The quality of the blown pale pink opal glass ensures uniform lighting.

VILHELM LAURITZEN

Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984) is one of the most significant Danish architects; he was the pioneer of Danish functionalism. Many of his buildings, including the Nørrebro Theatre, the Daells Varehus department store, the Radiohuset and the first airport built in Kastrup, represented the concentrated essence of contemporary life.
