Louis Poulsen Vl45 Radiohus Pale Rose Suspended lamp 25 cm pink glass

The Radiohus VL 45 pendant lamp was originally designed by the Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for his Gesamtkunstwerk at the Danish Broadcasting House, also known as Radiohuset. The original 1940s design features a brass pendant and a milky white three-layer blown glass shade, a classic and elegant combination, reintroduced by Louis Poulsen in 2016. Reinterpretation of the iconic design, the pendant lamp VL 45 Pale Rose is made of four-layer pale pink blown glass combined with a brushed brass suspension, a delicate reference to contemporary furnishing trends.

UNIQUE WORKMANSHIP

Each VL 45 Pale Rose pendant lamp is made of four-layer blown glass in the delicate pale pink color. Due to the nature of their production, these extraordinary hand-crafted screens are absolutely unique, so the color and thickness of the glass may vary.

Lighting system

The luminaire provides uniform, general and diffused lighting. The opening at the base of the glass produces light directed downwards. The quality of the pale pink blown opaline glass ensures uniform lighting.

VILHELM LAURITZEN

Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984) is one of the most significant Danish architects; he was the pioneer of Danish functionalism. Many of its buildings, including the Nørrebro theater, the Daells Varehus department store, the Radiohuset and the first airport built in Kastrup, represented the concentrated essence of contemporary life.
