Designed by Poul Henningsen in 1931, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp is based on the iconic three-shade system known as System PH, originally created in 1926, in which three blown glass shades provide soft light and free of glare. With its name deriving from the curvature of the stem, the Petite table lamp has a distinctive shape and an adjustable head that can rotate 45 degrees in either direction to direct the light where it's needed. Until the mid-1950s, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp was made of brass and was available with amber, red or yellow glass shades, as well as classic opaline glass. Perfect for modern interiors, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp is available in the popular combination of chrome plating with milky white opaline glass shades.
Lighting system
The luminaire has been designed based on the principle of a reflective multi-screen system that emits a light directed downwards without glare, while radiating a pleasantly delicate glow. The screens are made of triple-layer blown opaline glass, polished on the top and matt sandblasted on the bottom, for a soft and uniform light distribution. The adjustable top of the lamp can be tilted 45 degrees to the right or left by rotating the handle in the center of the arm.
ICONIC SHAPE IN CLASSIC COLORS
The famous PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp is immediately recognizable thanks to the characteristic curvature of the stem. With its shiny chrome frame and milky white opaline glass screens, this jewel integrates perfectly into any interior space.
BLOWN GLASS SCREENS
Each of the opaline glass screens is made of three-layer blown glass, sandblasted on the underside to ensure soft light and pleasant typical of Poul Henningsen's designs.
