The Juke Box S2 active turntable incorporates everything needed to directly drive a pair of speakers. Pro-Ject, with the new S2 version of the Juke Box series, extends the capabilities of use to other sources and allows interfacing with digital music from modern mobile devices.

The Jukebox S2 turntable, with a square base, belt drive and dust cover, is equipped with an MDF chassis that houses the electronics. Traction is applied along the entire circumference of the platter, a solid block of translucent acrylic that works in combination with a compact felt mat. The polished steel pin is fixed to it and fits into the brass bushing integral with the chassis. A ball placed on the bottom of the bearing and the Teflon treatment of the walls minimize any friction. Mechanical tolerances are tight and virtually perfect.

The DC synchronous motor features a machined aluminum pulley, with manual speed setting at 33 or 45 rpm. The installed tonearm, an 8.6-inch straight aluminum barrel with an effective mass of 8 grams, is suitable for high-compliance cartridges.

With the 50 Watts per channel nominal you will be able to use your stereo speakers and enjoy realistic soundstages and great depth. The Juke Box S2 does not stop at vinyl playback, you can also connect your devices via Bluetooth and listen to your music wirelessly. In addition, you can find another analog input on the back of the Juke Box S2. Simply connect a secondary source and use the Juke Box S2 as an amplifier for your speakers.

The Juke Box S2 features a built-in pre- and power amplifier, allowing you to place your speakers far apart to minimise the possibility of feedback and create a true analogue stereo experience.

The pre-fitted Ortofon Pick-it 25A phono cartridge, an OM-derived moving magnet cartridge with a tapered plastic body for rigidity, an elliptical stylus and silver-wound coils usually reserved for higher-end products.

The Pro-Ject Speaker Box 5 S2 bookshelf speakers deliver crystal clear sound with up to 150 Watts of power. Its Audiophile Bass-Reflex design will impress you with punchy bass and the non-resonant MDF cabinet minimises unwanted internal noise.

Only high-quality materials have been used in the construction of the Pro-Ject Speaker Box 5 S2; a 25mm silk dome tweeter delivers crystal clear highs, the 150mm glass fibre cone ensures full-bodied mids as well as tight, punchy bass. These drive units are crossed using an audiophile direct wired crossover using quality components. The cabinet is an MDF structure, veneered with real wood.

In addition, a special, resistant and environmentally friendly glue has been used to hold the cabinet together and avoid leaks.

Speaker Box 5 S2 is entirely handmade in Europe.
