Pro-Ject Audio Systems is one of the world's leading Hi-Fi companies, which to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2021, has created a turntable through which it has tended to demonstrate its many years of experience in designing and building turntables with a quality/price ratio at the reference level, the Debut PRO.
The design of the new Debut PRO B model is based on the previous version but improved in every aspect to bring the quality and sound level even higher.
The new arm for example is usually found on more expensive products, as it features a one-piece technology with a hybrid carbon-aluminium structure, 8.6 inches long it is incredibly light and rigid, as it exploits the lightness and strength characteristics of carbon fibre, combining them with the damping properties of aluminium, resulting in better resistance to external interference.
This arm also allows for accurate adjustment of azimuth and VTA (vertical tracking angle), allowing the most experienced audiophiles to set up the turntable in the best possible way based on the different cartridges and mats that they want to use.
To top it all off, the Debut Pro comes standard with an excellent Ortofon MM cartridge called 'Pick-IT PRO BALANCED' already mounted and calibrated by the House, born from the collaboration between the two companies, Ortofon has produced an exceptional cartridge designed to provide a more lively and robust sound with a wide range dynamics.
Structurally, the Debut PRO B features a chassis constructed from MDF, used for its excellent anti-resonance properties, and is expertly finished in a sleek satin black finish.
The in-house manufactured motor is made to fine tolerances to minimise noise and is decoupled from the main chassis via a mounting plate with TPE damped mounting points to eliminate any potential further interference.
The plinth then sits on three height-adjustable metal feet with TPE damping in a unique nickel-plated finish, ensuring the platform is free from unwanted vibrations, for maximum playback results.
The Debut PRO B can play both 33, 45 and 78 rpm records, with the speed selection being electrically controlled at the touch of a switch.
