The RPM 5 Carbon uses a radical concept with many innovations, which originate from its big brother the RPM 9 Carbon: a low-resonance chassis contains a newly developed inverted platter bearing with ceramic ball for further reduced rumble. The acoustically inert platter is made of acrylic. A 15V external AC motor is smoothly driven using an ultra-precise AC generator with DC power for further improved speed stability. The elegant 9" Evo tonearm, crafted from carbon fibre, is suitable for any high-quality MM or MC cartridge. A damped TPE counterweight eliminates unwanted resonances.

The RPM 5 Carbon is available with or without an Ortofon 2M-Silver cartridge. A super-shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance Pro-Ject Connect it E phono cable is included.
