New T/9x SE Special Edition Series from REL, 3 exclusive colours and new driver for even greater performance

Subwoofers are often thought of as bulky cubes, objects that, although extremely useful, are often difficult to place. Rel, one of the largest English companies that has produced exclusively subwoofers since the 1970s, is relaunching the concept: why not make it an attractive point of colour?

And here come these Special Edition versions of the T/9x, inspired by the frenetic world of motorsport, available in three stunning finishes: Italian Racing Red, Le Mon™ Yellow and Tangerine Dream. Each shade makes a bold statement that enhances any interior, embodying the exhilarating speed and precision found on the racetrack. Accented with polished chrome and carbon fiber details, the T/9x SE fuses high-performance audio with breathtaking aesthetics.

Aesthetic features to highlight include the solid aluminum top plate and feet, which are then chrome-plated and feature an engraved company crest, while in terms of technical features, it performs better, thanks to the woofer with a new carbon fiber dust cover that reduces the weight by 10g and increases the rigidity of the cone, reducing the moving mass of the 10” (250 mm) active driver, and less weight means more speed and greater efficiency, measured at 1.2dB more in emission. All driven by a 300 watt class A/B mosfet amplifier.

Every detail in the T/9x SE is particularly cared for, as every special edition should be and in this case the paint is 7 layers with meticulous craftsmanship.

On the rear panel the high-level Speakon inputs with 10m cable supplied or double RCA input, with separate level controls, which make it compatible, even simultaneously, with both stereo systems and as a sub channel of a home cinema system. It also features continuously variable cut-off frequency control between 30Hz and 120Hz, 0/180° phase control, and as with all T Series subs, it can go wireless by adopting the optional Arrow™ system.
