Evolution Xtension 10 Premium Turntable with 10" Tonearm - Superlative Vinyl Performance in a More Compact Size!

The Xtension 10 is perfect for anyone who loves the sound quality of the big Xtension but is looking for a device with a rack-compatible width of 48 cm. The chassis of the Xtension 10 consists of MDF filled with metal granulate, which allows for high mass and low resonance. Magnetic field feet ensure optimal decoupling of the 22 kg Xtension 10, which represents a perfect symbiosis of the principles of mass transmission and subchassis. Two magnets of the same polarity in the feet let the turntable float. Unlike Japanese classics, the special platter of the Xtension 10 Evolution is not made of resonance-susceptible metal, but an internal construction made of a special cast metal alloy, which is glued to recycled vinyl plates and finely balanced after heat treatment. The heavy plate is dampened on the inside with a strip of Sorbothane®. The result is a heavy and completely resonance-free platter that runs smoothly on a magnet-assisted inverted ceramic bearing. The Pro-Ject 10cc Evolution tonearm is decoupled from the chassis by Sorbothane and has a massed tonearm base that prevents unwanted vibrations and ensures interference-free scanning. The 10cc Evolution is equipped with 4 different counterweights that allow adjustment to almost all high-end pickups with a mass of 4 to 14 grams.

Pro-Ject Audio Systems supplies its high-end turntables with premium 5pin>RCA tonearm cables as standard, but also with premium symmetrical 5pin>XLR tonearm cables on request. This ensures an optimal connection to the Pro-Ject Phono Box RS phono stage. The balanced connection style offers superior vinyl playback with balanced sources.

NOTE: In order to utilize the superior quality of balanced signal transmission, both devices being connected must have balanced connections. Balanced signal processing significantly reduces the effects of external interference.
