CD Playback and Ripping

Still got some love for your old CDs? Don't worry; you can connect a generic USB CD drive to your ARIES G2.2 and choose to play a CD, rip a CD during playback, or simply rip.

Like AURALiC's Lightning file streaming, our unique CD playback feature uses the same advanced Memory Playback technology that reduces jitter. The CD data is first read and compared multiple times for accuracy in the system cache before playback. The result is the elimination of potentially transport-induced jitter, negating any negative effects from the quality of your chosen CD drive, potentially improving performance beyond what competing CD players can offer.

Silent Operation: Dual Galvanic Isolation

To avoid the interference associated with traditional open-circuit designs, galvanic isolation in the ARIES G2.2 separates electrical circuits while allowing data to flow between them. We created two special high-speed galvanic isolators and configured them between the ARIES G2.2's primary clocking, processing, and transmission circuits. This is a new level of EMI protection that helps eliminate jitter, contributing to an unparalleled level of clarity.

Less Noise, Greater Capacity

The new Purer-Power low-noise power supply design offers double the capacity of previous G2.1 models and even lower noise levels, providing extremely stable and reliable power to the device. We've equipped the ARIES G2.2 with two of our ultra-quiet Purer-Power linear power supplies, galvanically isolating them from each other in an obsessive pursuit of reduced noise for better sonic performance. The processing and display power are completely separated from the sensitive audio components, which operate on their own dedicated power supplies. Interference between separate areas is reduced to zero, so all you hear from the ARIES G2.2 is the music.

Unity II Chassis

The ARIES G2.2 chassis is designed as a double shell, where a high-quality aluminum outer shell is complemented by a nickel-plated copper inner layer. A high-mass base and an improved four-foot multi-spring suspension system complement the quiet and noise-reducing performance of the ARIES G2.2 Unity II chassis.

An integrated family of devices

Built around cutting-edge transfer protocols, more powerful processing, and improved isolation engineering, G2.2 products represent a new concept in component integration. Our flagship series offers ultra-fast connectivity, powered entirely by Lightning Link. Everything from audio, to digital clocking, to control signals, is easily handled by Lightning Link. Each G2 and G3 product features a Lightning Link connection port, allowing them to be connected together as a stack.

Dual 60fs Femto Clock - With a dedicated 0.8uV low noise power supply to minimize phase noise and keep it as quiet as it is accurate, our 60 Femto Master Clock is incredibly precise for less jitter and pristine sound. Its 60 femtosecond cycles, or 60 quadrillionths of a second, sets a new standard for signal timing. Temperature-regulated for consistent performance, this clock is always there to keep things rock-steady.

Smart-IR Control - Smart-IR remote control allows your AURALiC device to map its functionality to any remote control you desire. Simply tell your device which remote you prefer, and all its operations (play/pause, volume control, track selection, etc.) can be assigned to buttons just the way you like.

GalvanicUSB Gen 2 - GalvanicUSB bypasses noisy USB power to improve sound quality. Precise re-clocking reduces jitter, and brand new galvanic isolation provides even greater protection against EMI noise. GalvanicUSB Gen 2 improves compatibility with a wider range of DACs and ensures a more refined audio experience.

Double the Purer Power - The first of two Purer-Power power supplies powers the ARIES G2.2's processing circuitry, LCD display, and storage, both internal and USB-attached. The second Purer-Power path is dedicated to sensitive audio components like the Femto clock and USB audio output. Both power supplies are galvanically isolated from each other to ensure zero EMI interference between them.

1GB Memory Cache - Open network connections and data retrieval are prone to noise that can damage the audio signal quality. The Tesla G3 hardware platform dedicates a full 1GB of RAM to caching, lowering the open circuit frequency and helping your music sound better.
