We're delighted to announce that, for the third year running, one of our new models has been awarded a prestigious EISA award. It's gratifying to note that the EISA Hi-Fi panel has not only recognised the R15 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier for its superior performance, but has also recognised the flagship R35 on which its circuit design is based, identifying each Primare's distinctive sound as a "mix of weight and substance allied to detail and resolution".

Technology

The R15 MM/MC phono preamplifier is designed to amplify with absolute fidelity the delicate signal from any cartridge it is matched to.

Although housed in our compact three-quarter size 15 Series case, the same care and craftsmanship that went into the design of the larger and slightly more capable R35 MM/MC phono preamplifier has characterised the design of the R15, allowing all the circuitry to work in sympathy together for superior sound and greater fidelity. With enough gain to amplify the signal from virtually any moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge, and very flexible input adjustment, it allows for an ideal system match.

We believe that every aspect of our products - the way they look, the satisfying feel of the controls - contributes to the overall experience of living with Primare. As a result, Primare products exude the hallmarks of Scandinavian design: simple, elegant designs, with accessible, easy-to-understand functionality.

An example of this is the discreetly positioned standby button within the Primare logo on the bezel of our R15, R35 and A35.2 models, or as we say lagom, not too much and not too little, all in balance, proportion and harmony.

System Building

With the 15 Series, we offer a carefully considered range of models to allow the best selection to suit any of your system needs. For example, the ultimate 15 Series system might be the DD15 CD transport, SC15 Prisma network preamplifier and player, I15 analogue integrated amplifier and R15 MM/MC phono preamplifier, allowing the best performance, analogue or digital, with the greatest number of connectivity options. However, additional digital inputs may not be needed, MC phono pre-amplification may not be a requirement, or simply to accommodate budget or size considerations, a system consisting of the Prisma CD15 and network player could be assembled with an I15 MM integrated amplifier with MM15 MM phono module installed. This compact, reasonably priced system provides playback of multiple analog sources, including vinyl records, as well as digital records, stored or streamed media playback, with remarkable power, control and connectivity flexibility.
