Vilhelm Wohlert designed the Wohlert pendant lamp in 1959. Louis Poulsen had commissioned him to design a lamp for rooms of varying sizes, which was easy to install and maintain, including changing the bulbs.
Lighting system
The luminaire provides uniform, general and diffuse lighting. The opening in the lower part of the glass produces direct light directed downwards. The quality of the glass ensures that the luminaire is evenly lit.

VILHELM WOHLERT
Vilhelm Wohlert (1920-2007) graduated in architecture from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1944. During his career, he was a professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1968 to 1986, an honorary member of the same institution where he was also deputy CEO from 1968–71. He also held the position of visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, USA from 1951 to 1953.
