Vilhelm Wohlert designed the Wohlert pendant lamp in 1959. Louis Poulsen had commissioned him to design a lamp for rooms of variable dimensions, easy to install and maintain, including replacing the bulbs.
Lighting system
The luminaire offers uniform, general and diffused lighting. The opening in the lower part of the glass produces a direct light aimed downwards. The quality of the glass ensures that the luminaire is illuminated evenly.

VILHELM WOHLERT
Vilhelm Wohlert (1920-2007) graduated in architecture from the Academy Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1944. Throughout his career, he was a professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1968 to 1986, an honorary member of the same institution where he was also deputy CEO in the period 1968–71. He also held the position of visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in the United States from 1951 to 1953.
