Louis Poulsen Toldbod Suspension hanging lamp 12cm gray blue

Louis Poulsen designers created the Toldbod pendant in 2009 with a light distribution based on the PH Ellipse reflector: Poul Henningsen's last street lighting concept. In 1982, the Tolbod 290 for outdoors was introduced. Following the success of this model, the Tolbod glass pendants for indoors were launched. Metal pendants were added later and complemented by the four larger editions in 2019. The Toldbod pendant directs most of the light downwards, in keeping with PH's philosophy of shaping light to illuminate spaces without ever hitting the eyes directly. The matt white part inside the elliptical shade helps create an even light, perfect for targeted lighting and the ambience of the room. The Toldbod pendant is based on Louis Poulsen's philosophy that the simpler the design, the more flexibility. The defined and soft shape of the Toldbod pendant lamp makes it perfect on its own, but its particular design allows it to be used in rows or groups in a single shade or by combining several colours.

Lighting system

The pendant lamp emits a soft light directed downwards. The white satin-finished interior of the elliptical shade helps to ensure even distribution of light.

This product complies with the requirements of the European Directives, RoHS Directive 2011/65 and 2015/863. The product has been designed so that it can be completely dismantled and reused. Louis Poulsen is part of ELRETUR which guarantees the reuse of electronic waste (WEEE) in Europe. This product must be treated as electronic waste. The product is packaged in a fabric bag and a cardboard box. The cardboard is made from at least 75% recycled fibre. The additional cardboard material comes from FSC approved sources.
