Louis Poulsen Yuh wall lamp white brass

The Italian-Danish design duo GamFratesi designed Yuh for Louis Poulsen in 2017. Initially launched in black and white, the family has since been expanded to include brass and marble versions. Yuh is an essentially personal lamp. It is flexible and takes up little space. It can be rotated, raised and lowered to illuminate and create the right atmosphere in the desired area. The shape of the shade is determined geometrically by the movement it makes on the stem. The minimalist look is created by a circular shape at the bottom to the linear opening at the top of the shade. The name Yuh is the phonetic form of “you”, the letters representing the sound of the voice to say “you”.

Lighting system

The fixture emits light mainly downwards without direct glare. The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimise the distribution of light. The thin opening at the top of the shade diffuses soft light upwards. A mechanical system allows maximum freedom of movement and ideal positioning of the light in the work environment, living room, and other spaces. The integrated LED technology offers a high quality of light, with continuous control of the reduction from 15 to 100%. It also has a timer that can be programmed, allows automatic switch-off in a time range of 4 to 8 hours and a function to set the constant lighting level whenever the lamp is connected to the mains. The switch and dimmer are located on the wall box.
