Primare Allt-I-Ett: calling it a Soundbar is an understatement
Primare is a historic Swedish brand, always specialized in high-quality electronics, both for two-channel stereo and home cinema, today introduces the Allt-i-Ett, an ambitious project that marks an important turning point in the brand's philosophy.
The name, which in Swedish literally means "all in one", perfectly describes the intent of this product: to offer a complete hi-fi system, capable of combining the functions of amplifier, streamer, converter and speaker in a single elegant and compact body.
Calling it a "sound-bar", given the enormous added value it offers, undoubtedly seems reductive. It was created with the aim of making the sound quality and refinement typical of Primare components accessible even to those who want a simple and immediate experience, without the need to purchase and configure multiple separate devices.
It is therefore a device designed for the modern listener, who loves convenience but does not want to give up uncompromising sound.
The aesthetics are refined, starting from the touch-screen display which is normally closed, but can be opened at any time via a motorized system and from which it is possible to carry out any operation.
From a technical point of view, the numbers are astonishing. Primare Allt-i-Ett is in fact capable of delivering 300 watts in total which drive six woofers, two midranges and two tweeters, able to offer a wide and precise soundstage, with a notable bass extension, so much so that it does not necessarily require an external subwoofer.
The 6 woofers are distributed as follows: two front, two rear and two downward-firing, while the 2 midranges are placed next to the 2.5cm dome tweeters with waveguide.
The construction reflects the usual Scandinavian attention to detail: clean lines, quality materials and a design that combines sobriety and modernity.
The electronics integrate an advanced DSP system that manages automatic room correction and different positioning modes, so as to adapt the acoustic response depending on whether the device is placed freely in the room, near a wall or in a corner.
Bacch 3D technology is supported, capable of eliminating “crosstalk” between stereo channels, recreating a much more realistic and deep three-dimensional soundstage, giving the sensation that sounds come from different points in space and particularly effective when the sounds come from a single compact body as in the case of Primare Allt-i-Ett.
Eleven-band equalizer and particularly sophisticated bass management with a dedicated subwoofer output.
On the connectivity front, Primare has left nothing to chance. Primare Allt-i-Ett offers optical and coaxial digital inputs, a USB-A port, an HDMI eARC connection for direct connection to the TV, and a complete network section with Wi-Fi, Ethernet input/output, and Bluetooth aptX-HD for both transmission and reception.
Compatibility with AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz is also included, as well as support for DAB+ and FM radio, and an RCA analog input, including a phono input for turntables.
Everything can be controlled via the motorized touchscreen display that automatically raises and tilts, the dedicated remote control, and Primare's proprietary Prisma app.
With dimensions of 69 centimetres in width and a weight of 16 kilograms, the system presents itself as a solid yet elegant object, designed to integrate harmoniously into a modern living room.
The minimalist aesthetic, the satin metal and the attention to detail confirm the Nordic imprint of the brand.
Primare Allt-i-Ett combines power, elegance and ease of use, bringing even the less expert public closer to the world of "true" high fidelity, as is the founding principle of Primare, which with this product wanted to send a clear message: complexity is no longer necessary to obtain uncompromising sound.
