The Audible Truth About Thin TV

TV manufacturers are pushing the physical limits of electronics, making TVs thinner than ever at less than 2 inches from the wall. While they look great, creating a thinner TV means making compromises with the built-in speakers; tiny drivers, cheaper parts, reduced cabinet volume, and placement behind the TV create an unnatural, lifeless sound. Worse yet, these speakers are typically underpowered and easily distort when you turn the volume up. SLM Motion speakers offer a clean, easy-to-install solution to elevate the audio experience that has been sacrificed with ultra-thin TV technology.

Slim Profile and Stunning Performance

The secret to the Motion SLM's stunning performance is its innovative, ultra-thin dual 4-inch fiber cone woofer and two 4-inch high-velocity passive bass radiators, paired with a bending motion tweeter to create the incredible acoustic alchemy found in much larger speaker systems. Discreetly hidden beneath the grille, the drivers are held firmly in place by a sturdy, black anodized aluminum baffle. The gloss black SLM cabinet is 1.45 inches thin, for a total projection of 1.83 inches with the magnetic grille and included wall mount bracket.

Wall or Shelf Versatility

With keyhole slots on the speaker's rear panel that easily attach to the included wall mount, you'll have the SLM X3 wall-mounted in no time. While we created the Motion SLM X3 sound bar to wall mount next to ultra-flat panel TVs, that's not their only application. Included with each speaker are feet that allow it to sit on a shelf or cabinet.
