PrimaLuna EVO 100 – Hi-Fi Tube Stereo Preamplifier

The PrimaLuna EVO 100 is a tube stereo preamplifier designed to offer natural, dynamic, and particularly quiet musical reproduction. The dual mono configuration and tube rectification contribute to creating a wide, well-defined soundstage, with precise separation between the two channels.

The structure uses a sturdy steel chassis and carefully selected components. The power supply sections of the left and right channels use dedicated transformers, while the two custom toroidal transformers are sealed to protect the windings from humidity and preserve their reliability over time. The wide frequency response allows for deep, controlled low frequencies, accompanied by an extended, detailed high range.

The rectification section uses two 5AR4 tubes in a dual mono configuration, a solution designed to improve channel separation and make the stereo image even more stable and realistic. Ceramic tube holders, Nichicon and DuRoch capacitors, and gold-plated RCA connectors for inputs and outputs complete the internal construction.

The entire signal path is achieved using point-to-point wiring. Resistors, capacitors, and connections are hand-wired with adequately thick conductors, minimizing interference and ensuring direct and accurate signal transfer.

Particular attention has also been paid to source selection. The SuperQuiet Inputs system uses high-quality sealed relays, positioned near the rear inputs. When a source is selected, only the relevant relay is activated, while all others remain open. This configuration limits possible interference and contamination from unused devices.

Volume adjustment is handled by the renowned ALPS Blue Velvet motorized potentiometer, appreciated for its precision and ability to maintain proper channel balance at any listening level. The supplied remote control also allows you to conveniently manage the volume from a distance.

The PrimaLuna EVO 100 also features a Tape Out output and is an ideal solution for enthusiasts who want the musicality of tubes, high-level craftsmanship and accurate control of the entire Hi-Fi system.
