The Flindt Garden bollard is part of the Flindt family, created by the award-winning Danish designer and architect Christian Flindt in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. It belongs to the Garden collection by Louis Poulsen, which offers exceptional outdoor lighting. The simple aesthetic of the resilient bollard, along with the functional and pleasant lighting, has made the Flindt bollard a popular choice that elegantly complements urban parks, rooftops and other outdoor spaces during the day and makes them more accessible and safe at night. In 2021, Louis Poulsen introduced the smaller-scale Flindt Garden bollard, designed for easy on-site installation with ideal light for commercial and residential outdoor spaces. The Flindt Garden bollard can be expanded with up to six bollards, positioned up to five meters apart, and is perfect for repetitive installations. The bollard, versatile and minimalist, is equally suitable for a natural and wild environment as for an urban garden.

Lighting system

The garden bollard emits a wide, glare-free light directed downwards. The light source is located high up, within the asymmetrical cutout on the side of the bollard, where the gradient acts as a reflector that attenuates the light and forms a pleasing organic shape on the ground below.

Environmental information about the product

This product complies with the requirements contained in the European Directives, RoHS Directive 2011/65 and 2015/863. The product has been designed so that it can be completely disassembled and reused. Louis Poulsen is part of ELRETUR which guarantees the reuse of electronic waste (WEEE) in Europe. This product must be treated as electronic waste. The product is packaged in a fabric bag and a cardboard box. Cardboard is made with at least 75% recycled fiber. The additional cardboard material comes from FSC approved sources.

Mounting

The adapter is positioned externally to the appliance and can hold up to 6 bollards. The maximum distance from the last bollard is 30 m. Pole diameter Ø 50 mm. Assembly with stake: insert the bollard with the stake into the ground. Run the supplied 5 m cable over the ground. The bollard is connected to the adapter using standard plugs supplied with the appliance. Anchor mounting for fixing into concrete: Requires installation by a certified electrician. For fixed installation in accordance with the law, use the installation cables for underground installation. Cables not included. Baseplate mounting for surface mounting: Requires installation by a certified electrician. For fixed installation in accordance with the law, use the installation cables for underground installation. CHRISTIAN FLINDT

Christian Flindt (1972-) holds an MAA and an MDD from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2002. He then founded his own design studio in 2003. He placed particular emphasis on communication between people and his focus in this area finds expression particularly in his approach to the re-evaluation of furnishings. He wants his furnishings to inspire people to create new relationships.
