The Skot lamp was developed in the early 1900s by LK (Lauritz Knudsen). Originally designed for ships and maritime areas, it was also widely used in environments that required a compact and robust design. The LED version was launched in 2012.

Lighting system

The luminaire is available with two types of distribution : symmetrical or semi-shielded. Semi-shielded distribution is recommended for wall mounting only. The opal diffuser creates a soft distribution of light. For greater efficiency choose the transparent version.

The product has been designed so that it can be completely disassembled and reused. Louis Poulsen is part of ELRETUR which guarantees the reuse of electronic waste (WEEE) in Europe. This product must be treated as electronic waste. The product is packaged in a fabric bag and a cardboard box. Cardboard is made with at least 75% recycled fiber. The additional cardboard material comes from FSC approved sources.
