Mario Nanni is a master of light, a writer of light, a designer, a craftsman, and a poet. Founder of the renowned lighting brand Viabizzuno, he transforms every project into a masterpiece, where light becomes a story, a gesture, and a thought. A true artist, he collaborates with leading international architects and designs projects for prominent cultural institutions, approaching the design of lighting fixtures as a constant challenge, always new and profoundly evocative.
Born in Bizzuno in 1955, Mario Nanni cultivated from a young age a vision of light as a living material, to be explored with rigor and emotion. Since 1994, he has directed the design process at Viabizzuno, intertwining craftsmanship and innovation. He has illuminated museums, works of art, and monuments around the world, including Milan's Teatro alla Scala. He lives and works between Milan, London, Barcelona, and Bologna, the latter being the home of his studio Virgola, a space for study and experimentation.
