Two-way bass reflex Hi-Fi standmount speaker pair;

Advanced phase precision driver

To reproduce music with the best sonic expressiveness, it is necessary that the wavefronts of the sounds coming from the speaker are all aligned, regardless of the listening position. To achieve this result, one of the ideal concepts, Point-Sound-Source, has been applied.

For its application, the coaxial configuration has been adopted which is then combined with the Linear Phase Plug for phase alignment, the homogeneous flow diaphragm and a uniform edge for minimal sound reflection. The result is a spherical wave of sounds with aligned wavefronts.

The SB-C600 2-way coaxial speaker achieves clear sound image localization and high sound quality to reproduce music smoothly and expressively.

Linear Phase Plug

The uniquely shaped acoustic plug is positioned on the front of the tweeter, providing high-resolution sound reproduction and a wide soundstage.

Homogeneous Flow Diaphragm

If the sound wave has irregularities on its transmission surface, its wavefront is disturbed by the shape of the irregularities, resulting in deterioration of the frequency characteristics. High frequencies with short wavelengths tend to be more susceptible to deterioration of the sound characteristics. The woofer diaphragm in the coaxial speaker unit features a shallow shape and a smooth edge to reduce sound reflection. The result is minimal disturbance of the wavefront of the sound waves emanating from the diaphragm, resulting in excellent frequency response, phase characteristics, and wide directivity.

This configuration achieves a wide soundstage and a rich, smooth mid- and high-frequency range.

Smooth-Flow Port

A conventionally shaped bass reflex port produces a large vortex of airflow that causes a disturbing high-frequency noise. Technics employed the airflow control method used for aircraft wings and designed the port's cross-sectional shape using flow analysis. The optimally designed port shape prevents airflow disturbance when opened, ensuring high-quality bass reproduction with minimal noise and superior response.

Fixed Structure

It accurately removes unwanted sounds and reproduces only the intended ones with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The "Balanced Driver Mount Architecture" used in the Grand Class SB-G90M2 has been optimized for this model by taking full advantage of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering). The speaker mounting baffle that holds the speaker units in place has been redesigned to increase the rigidity of the entire cabinet. The combination of these factors optimizes the center of gravity advantages of the mounting structure. The rigidity and shape of each part of the coaxial speaker have been carefully considered to eliminate unnecessary noise and vibration.

Balanced Driver Mounting Architecture

To achieve natural, low-distortion sound, the SB-C600 speakers employ a speaker mounting baffle created by optimizing the low-resonance, high-rigidity system of the SB-G90M2 using CAE.

The carefully designed speaker mounting baffle controls stress concentrations, ensuring smooth sound flow from the rear of the speakers, and improving response while maintaining low resonance with high rigidity. This structure helps reduce vibrations throughout the entire enclosure and the effects on other devices.

Other Technologies:

High-quality Parts - The network circuit uses high-quality parts, such as polypropylene film capacitors, OFC wires, and more. The speaker terminals are made of brass.

Aluminum diaphragms - The tweeter and woofer diaphragms are made of alumite-treated aluminum for a unified tonal quality and ensure balanced sound like a full-range unit.

Highly analyzed and optimized components - To achieve accurate sound imaging, structural parts such as spacers and cable grommets have been extensively analyzed to eliminate unwanted vibrations and noise.

Matte black finish - The front baffle of the SB-C600 system's housing is coated with a matte paint mixed with a specialized powder for a particularly attractive finish.

SPECIFICATIONS

- Construction details, components and materials have been meticulously analyzed and calibrated to ensure robust structural reinforcement and to inhibit vibrations and noise. unwanted;

- Advanced Phase Precision Driver coaxial speaker: decoupled from the front baffle and fixed to the rear on the baffle, which also acts as a structural reinforcement and anti-vibration, with Balanced Driver Mounting Architecture stabilizing the center of gravity; point-like sound source capable of delivering extremely wide spatiality, perfect focus and an extraordinarily natural timbre, characterized by impeccable phase coherence and linearity; composed of a 25 mm dome tweeter with an alumite-treated aluminum diaphragm, supported by an exclusive linear phase plug equalizer, homogeneously embedded in the center of the 150 mm woofer diaphragm, also made of alumite-treated aluminum to ensure pristine tonal balance;
