The JBL 4369 completes the prestigious Studio Monitor line. An absolute and very imposing speaker, it will delight many fans of the unmistakable JBL monitor sound at its best. But talking about these new JBL 4369 also means delving into a tradition that has its roots in the very history of high fidelity. JBL is in fact one of those brands that, over the decades, have helped define the modern concept of the loudspeaker, transforming music reproduction into a physical, engaging, and deeply emotional experience. Since the 1940s, when James Bullough Lansing founded the company that would later bear his name, JBL quickly established itself as a benchmark in the professional world thanks to innovative solutions capable of combining power, dynamics, and precision.

JBL's philosophy has always been clear: to recreate sound as realistically as possible, preserving the energy of the original event. This vision has led the brand to become a protagonist in recording studios, cinemas, live concerts, and, of course, in the home systems of the most demanding enthusiasts.

The JBL 4369, like all the speakers in the Studio Monitor Series, are born from this technical and cultural heritage. Their appearance immediately recalls the world of studio monitors, thanks also to the classic and unmistakable light blue baffle, with robust lines and generous proportions that immediately convey a sense of authority. The finishes maintain the sober elegance typical of the American school, where substance always comes before appearance, without sacrificing a beautiful and unmistakable visual impact.

Uncompromising features

The imposing 38 cm woofer, the 2219Nd-1 with rigid suspension, features patented Differential Drive® technology with dual symmetrical 7.5 cm voice coils for improved cooling and a neodymium magnet. The cone, as per tradition, is made of pure treated cellulose pulp and the entire supporting chassis is made of die-cast aluminum. Faraday rings were then adopted to reduce inductance and the driver was optimized via FEA to obtain a 50% greater excursion.

The driver that handles frequencies above 800 Hz is a 7.5 cm compression unit, the D2830B, with a double diaphragm and double voice coil, also with a neodymium magnet. The "dual" configuration allows for high power handling with high efficiency and an extremely extended and smooth frequency response.

The HDI™ Waveguide with Sonoglass™ horn has a 4-lobe High-Definition Imaging geometry. This acoustic configuration ensures controlled dispersion and a precise sound image, making the listening point ("sweet spot") extremely wide and fully comparable to a dome component.

The cabinet is made with numerous internal bracings, especially at critical points, and is finished in fine natural grain wood. Inside, a MultiCap™ crossover uses numerous small capacitors in parallel instead of a few larger ones. This greatly reduces series resistance (ESR), improving dynamics and speed.

As usual with all Studio Monitor speakers, the high-frequency level controls, located on the front panel, allow adjustment between 1.5 and 6 kHz and above 5 kHz with two separate controls and 5 steps (-1/-0.5/0/+0.5 dB/+1 dB), allowing you to best adapt the sound to the acoustics of your room.

Finally, the 4369s are equipped with IsoAcoustics feet that effectively decouple the speaker from the floor and dual binding posts for single-wiring/bi-wiring/bi-amping. Available in Walnut or Black Walnut finishes, both with a light blue front panel.
