THE COAXIAL MIDRANGE-TWEETER of the Antigua MC170

The new bidirectional midrange/tweeter of the MC170 range is an evolution of the unit responsible for the continued success of the Cabasse Eole coaxial satellite. It offers faithful reproduction of timbres and provides a soundstage with realism and depth unmatched in its price range, both for stereo and home cinema use.

HIGH-EXCURSION WOOFER

The specific shape of the 17 cm (6.7 inch) driver unit has been specifically designed by Cabasse for maximum mechanical rigidity and low-frequency use, resulting in deeper bass without coloration. The Kapton-mounted voice coil is perfectly vented and radiates over 360° and its high power handling and acceleration capabilities are outstanding.

HDSE FILTERS

The Cabasse measurement protocol in an anechoic chamber takes into account measurements on the listening axis and 360° around the speaker for perfect control of directivity and global power output, in line with the Cabasse HDSE principle (homogeneous distribution of sound energy). The direct and reflected sounds are homogeneous, the soundstage wide and stable.
