Conformal coating applied to the crossover maximizes water-resistant properties, and the grille is specially coated to add stability to the material during extended periods of moisture exposure.

Manufactured to the highest standards of quality and performance, MartinLogan's new Installer Series is a line of budget-friendly, high-performance, premium-profile custom in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. Featuring titanium dome tweeters and mineral-filled polypropylene drivers, each model features a remarkably rugged mounting block system and paintable micro-perf, frameless grilles for nearly invisible installation. Two all-weather models extend usage to high-humidity areas. Pre-installation brackets are available for all models and square grilles are available for some in-ceiling models.

IP54 All-Weather Rated

The IC8-AW and IC3-AW are specifically designed for all-weather applications and feature numerous design considerations ideal for outdoor and other high-humidity applications such as patios and covered bathrooms. Each crossover has a conformal coating to maximize water-resistant properties and special assembly techniques ensure that all driver attachment points on the speaker face are completely sealed to remove the risk of moisture penetration.

Titanium Tweeters and Poly Cone Woofers

The titanium dome tweeters used throughout the Installer Series are dampened and cooled ferrofluid to ensure consistent high-frequency performance with astonishing clarity across a wide listening area. Mineral-filled polypropylene bass/midrange drivers feature robust, computer-optimized ferrite magnets and high-power motor structures to deliver detailed midrange performance and clean, extended bass response.

Micro-Perforated Grilles

Installer Series speakers feature ultra-low, paintable, micro-perforated grilles with no visible trim for nearly invisible integration into any wall or ceiling. A series of powerful magnets hidden inside the speaker quickly secure the grilles, reducing the risk of warping or damage during installation. To match the modern aesthetic, optional square grilles are available for most in-ceiling models (excluding all-weather versions).

Precision Crossover & Spring-Loaded Binding Posts

Installer Series crossovers carefully utilize the finest polyester capacitors and air-core coils, employing MartinLogan's proprietary Vojtko topology for extremely low distortion and seamless driver integration. This precisely tuned network preserves even the most microscopic sonic nuances while handling the full dynamics of any source. Spring-loaded binding posts feature an oversized wire access hole and connect via banana plug, pin, or bare 12AWG wire.

Rugged Mounting-Lock System

A simple, yet sturdy locking system allows for quick, hassle-free installation. Pocket screw holes help keep your drill steady, making installation a breeze. When not in use, the mounting locks are held securely within a self-contained housing. When moved, they firmly mate the chassis to the ceiling or wall, adding rigidity to surfaces. If ever removed, the locks retract and lock into their seats. Each speaker includes a full-size installation template with quick reference instructions and die-cut guides to mark the cutout hole.

The IC3 and IC3-AW in-ceiling speakers feature die-cast aluminum mounting blocks to maximize strength while allowing for a reduction in the physical size of each mounting block.
