Louis Poulsen Ph 2/2 question mark pale rose bedside table lamp

Originally designed by Poul Henningsen in 1931, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp is based on the iconic three-shade system known as System PH, in which three blown glass shades provide a soft, glare-free light. Named after the curvature of its stem, the Petite table lamp has a distinctive shape and an adjustable head that can rotate 45 degrees in either direction to direct the light where it is needed. Until the mid-1950s, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp was made of brass and was available with amber, red or yellow glass shades, as well as classic opal glass. To honor this icon and Henningsen's fascination with color and light, the PH 2/2 Question Mark Pale Rose table lamp was created.

Lighting system

The luminaire is designed on the principle of a reflective multi-shade system that emits glare-free, downward-directed light while radiating a pleasantly soft glow. The shades are made of four-layered, mouth-blown pale pink opal glass, glossy on top and sandblasted matt opal white on the bottom, for a soft, even distribution of light. The adjustable top of the lamp can be tilted 45 degrees to the right or left by turning the handle in the centre of the arm.

AN ICON IN PINK

Poul Henningsen's famous and popular PH 2/2 Question Mark lamp has been transformed with shades in pale pink glass and brushed brass. Each of the three shades is made of four-layered, mouth-blown pale pink glass, with a sandblasted white interior.
