The M2si integrated amplifier takes our premium amplifier technology and applies it to a more accessible price point. Building on the design philosophy and insights gleaned from our powerful flagship TITAN model, along with the inclusion of high-end features such as robust metal controls, an extruded aluminum front panel, and an all-metal chassis, the M2si occupies an enviable position for discerning audiophiles looking for an unadulterated high-end amplifier.

Fully Discrete Power Amplifier

The M2si delivers 72 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 137 watts into 4 ohms. This means the M2si will drive a wide range of loudspeakers, even models that require a lot of power. The fully discrete power amplifier, complemented by its own dedicated power supply and generously proportioned toroidal transformer, provides reserves for adequate peak output and wide dynamic range. Power-hungry and difficult speakers are driven with ease. Low impedance dips are handled gracefully and judiciously rated output devices will not falter under any load.

Precisely matched preamplifier and PRE/POWER configuration

The low-noise preamplifier has its own independent power supply. In effect, this means the M2si offers the performance benefits of a pre/power configuration with the compact convenience of a one-box design. For the best possible low channel volume matching, we use a high-quality Burr-Brown stepped attenuator which offers performance far superior to that of conventional potentiometer designs.

Musical fidelity design philosophy

Further flexibility is provided by the M2si's carefully considered connectivity, which includes six line-level inputs and switchable home-theatre throughput. We have deliberately decided not to use a phono input or any high-frequency digital circuitry and DAC. The M2si remains committed to unadulterated sound quality with no extraneous features. The introduction of high-frequency digital modules would clash with the nuanced performance of analog preamps and power amplifiers, and the substantial transformer and power amplifier circuitry could introduce interference into delicate phono signals.
