Master Edition of the SL-1200G/1210G Series
The definitive version of the beloved SL-1200G/1210G* series has been transformed into a Master Edition, incorporating a decade of Technics expertise.
This limited version represents the pinnacle of the SL-1200 series, featuring a special gold design and available worldwide in silver: 1,200 units/black: 1,210 units, each representing a landmark in the SL-1200 tradition.
Master Edition Design:
- Gold logo and serial number plate - Features a gold-painted embossed logo and serial number plate indicating the limited edition of this model.
- Gold tonearm - Equipped with a magnesium alloy tonearm finished in gold paint. gold.
- Two colors: Silver and Black - Available in your choice of silver model SL-1200GME or black model SL-1210GME.
Cutting-Edge Drive Technology:
- Coreless Direct-Drive Motor for Stable Rotation - The SL-1200GME/1210GME turntable features a coreless direct-drive motor that eliminates cogging for smooth rotation. The dual-rotor structure maintains high torque while reducing bearing load and minimizing vibration. To improve rigidity, the voice coil mounting base uses the same reinforcement pattern as the Reference Class SL-1000R/SP-10R.
- Updated ΔΣ Drive (Delta Sigma Drive) - Discover a new level of audio precision with ΔΣ-Drive, a cutting-edge system that leverages Technics' expertise in PWM signal processing. The SL-1200GME/1210GME turntable expands the PWM carrier frequency from approximately 2 kHz to over 20 kHz, reducing audible noise and further suppressing microvibrations.
Vibration-resistant design
- Three-layer turntable platter: The turntable features a three-layer structure, with a highly rigid brass and aluminum die-cast platter. The rear is completely covered with a rubber shock-absorbing layer to eliminate unnecessary resonance, dampening vibrations and ensuring a high level of rigidity. This achieves uniform rotational stability and an inertial mass that is higher than that of the SP-10MK2, the direct-drive turntable adopted as the standard by broadcasters around the world, and more than double that of the SL-1200MK5.
- Precision Balance: If the weight of the turntable is not evenly distributed, high levels of vibration or noise are generated during rotation, degrading the sound quality. Therefore, the turntable is balanced at the factory using special precision equipment, checking every single element after the device is assembled. After calibration, the "BALANCED" label is applied to the turntable to indicate that balancing has been performed.
Four-layer cabinet structure - The SL-1200GME turntable's four-layer cabinet structure.
Insulator - A newly developed zinc insulator using αGEL™ gel material has been developed to provide excellent shock absorption, high vibration damping performance, and minimize feedback.
Tonearm: The tonearm uses a lightweight, cold-drawn magnesium alloy to improve accuracy. High initial motion sensitivity is achieved by Technics' traditional gimbal suspension and high-precision bearings.
