CD Playback and Ripping

Still love your old CDs? Don't worry; you can connect a generic USB CD drive to your ARIES G2.2 and choose whether to play a CD, rip a CD during playback, or simply rip.

Like AURALiC's Lightning file streaming, our unique CD playback feature uses the same advanced Memory Playback technology for jitter reduction. The CD data is first read and compared multiple times in the system cache to ensure accuracy before playback. The result is the elimination of potentially transport-induced jitter, negating any negative effect on the quality of your chosen CD player and potentially improving performance over competing CD players.

Silent Operation: Dual Galvanic Isolation

To prevent interference associated with traditional open circuits, the ARIES G2.2's galvanic isolation separates electrical circuits while allowing data to flow between them. We created two specialized high-speed galvanic isolators and configured them between the ARIES G2.2's primary clock, processing, and transmission circuits. This is a new level of protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) that helps eliminate jitter, contributing to an unparalleled level of clarity.

Less Noise, Greater Capacity

The new Purer-Power low-noise power supply design offers double the capacity of previous G2.1 models and even lower noise levels, providing extremely stable and reliable power to the device. We've equipped the ARIES G2.2 with two of our ultra-quiet Purer-Power linear power supplies, galvanically isolating them from each other in our constant pursuit of reducing noise for better audio performance. The processing and display power is completely separated from the sensitive audio components, which operate on their own dedicated power supplies.
