DUOCELL CONE WOOFER - The Minorca MC40's 17cm woofer features a Duocell cone designed by Cabasse and manufactured with Cabasse Robotics. The very light, yet rigid and well-damped membrane has an exponential profile and variable thickness, to make maximum use of the dynamic qualities of the long-stroke motors, and a high force factor to bring all the precision and liveliness needed for high fidelity, true to live sound.
VARIABLE SLOPES CROSSOVERS - The Cabasse development protocol combines numerous measurements in an anechoic chamber, combining on-axis and 360° results. It ensures perfect control of both the directivity index and the total radiated power across the entire frequency bandwidth to meet SCS principles. It is a key process, along with listening sessions, in the development of crossover cards. The slopes can vary from 6 to 24 dB per octave for an optimal acoustic phase, taking into account the influence of the external shape of the cabinet to optimize the qualities of the coaxial drive units.
