MB1 B

The MB1 B is a two-way standmount monitor. Our primary goal was to create a compact speaker that would do its job excellently. The reflex port is positioned at the front and uses special inserts that reduce noise to extremely low levels. Despite its small and elegant dimensions, the musical reproduction is lively, bright and punchy, with deep bass that belies expectations. The speaker is equipped with a front-mounted reflex port to allow it to be placed close to the rear wall.

The MB Series features the same robust, high-quality two-way screw terminals. The feet are made of aircraft-grade aluminum and are adjustable to level the speaker. For greater rigidity, we added a sheet of carbon fiber to the top panel; this, together with an extensive internal bracing structure, makes the cabinet inert and silent.

We have a dedicated stand for the MB-1, with adjustable aluminum feet compatible with the MB Series. The MB-1 is also compatible with the X-1 stand.

Fabric grilles can be supplied as an additional accessory, upon request.

The MB Series

MB combines high performance with elegant design.

Cabinet - The internal construction features optimized airflow which, combined with the minimal use of sound absorbing material, has resulted in a very dynamic and linear low frequency reproduction.

The cabinet with bass reflex port is optimized for a excellent impulse response, resulting in linear, dynamic, and detailed low-frequency reproduction, while making the speaker extremely easy and versatile to position in the room.

Speakers - The woofer and mid-frequency driver have been equipped with a low-loss suspension that significantly improves dynamic capabilities and expands the frequency response in the bass region. A pleasant side effect is the significantly reduced break-in time (approximately 100 hours).

Crossovers - The crossovers are designed for a very linear and natural sound, clearly audible throughout the entire range. The crossover has been designed to time-align all the drivers at the listening distance.

The result is a speaker that not only delivers a wide and precise soundstage, but also boasts timing that will make you tap your foot to the beat and put a big smile on your face!

Ribbon tweeter: fast, clear and natural

One of the most distinctive elements of the Scansonic HD MB B series is the refined ribbon tweeter, designed to deliver extremely precise high-frequency reproduction.

Thanks to its particularly low moving mass, the diaphragm reacts very quickly to signal changes, delivering crisp transients and a high level of detail.

The sound is open, airy and natural: the nuances of acoustic instruments are accurately reproduced, while cymbals, strings, piano and female vocals take on greater presence and realism.

The extended response up to 40 kHz also helps a better perception of the sound environment, depth and spatiality of the recording.

Even during prolonged listening, the ribbon tweeter maintains a balanced and smooth output, significantly reducing hearing fatigue.
