The peculiarity of this converter lies in the all-tube output stage, combined with a power supply that uses 5AR4 rectifier tubes. This refined architecture gives the reproduction greater depth, harmonic richness and a pleasant three-dimensionality, reducing the feeling of coldness sometimes associated with digital sources.

Signal conversion is entrusted to the prestigious Texas Instruments Burr-Brown PCM1792A chip, appreciated in the audiophile world for its precision, tonal balance and ability to reproduce music in an extremely natural way.

Fluid, natural and three-dimensional reproduction

PrimaLuna developed EVO 100 DAC with the aim of preserving every nuance of the recording, offering a refined and free of artificiality sound.

The musical soundstage appears wide, stable and well-developed in space, with precise placement of voices and instruments. The midrange is rich and natural, while the high frequencies maintain excellent definition without becoming aggressive or fatiguing.

The low frequencies also gain body and depth, while maintaining excellent control and articulation. The result is a balanced, relaxing and musical listening experience, ideal even for long sessions and perfectly capable of enhancing high-resolution recordings.

Fully tube analog stage

The analog path of the PrimaLuna EVO 100 DAC uses:

The digital section is built around the Texas Instruments Burr-Brown PCM1792A converter, capable to process PCM signals with resolution up to 24 bit/192 kHz.

Signal processing is supported by the Texas Instruments SRC4192 upsampling processor, developed to reduce jitter effects and improve timing precision and conversion stability.

This solution allows you to make the most of the potential of network streamers, computers, CD players and digital transports, maintaining high signal quality along the entire path.
