Lighting System

The circular light fixture combines a soft, glare-free diffused light directed downwards with indirect light reflected from its curved rings on the top. A wide angle reflector surrounds the diffuser and reduces contrast around the edge. The rotated top reflector is perfectly curved to distribute the light upwards at a wide angle. The colored outer shade surrounds the reflector and creates an internal light reflection, resulting in a pleasant warmer light effect on the outside of the top and bottom reflectors. In total, it creates four light rings around the central diffuser.

Louis Poulsen is part of ELRETUR which ensures the reuse of electronic waste (WEEE) in Europe. This product must be treated as electronic waste. The product is packed in a fabric bag and a cardboard box. The cardboard is made from at least 75% recycled fibre. The additional cardboard material comes from FSC approved sources.

Christian Flindt (1972-) holds an MAA and an MDD from Aarhus School of Architecture in 2002. He then founded his own design studio in 2003. He has placed particular emphasis on communication between people, and his focus in this area is particularly expressed in his approach to re-evaluating furniture.
