Louis Poulsen Collage 450/600 Chandelier 45 cm white

The Collage pendant luminaire was designed by Louise Campbell and launched in 2005. It was first exhibited at the Copenhagen Furniture Fair in 2004 together with Campbell's pendant luminaire and 14 other experimental lighting prototypes which proposed new ways of interpreting light. Campbell's suspension apparatus was the first to be put into production. The Collage pendant fixture was launched the following year, partly due to the great attention it received at the show. In her work with lighting, Louise Campbell has always paid particular attention to natural light. With the Collage pendant luminaire, his aim was to imitate natural light. These observations have been integrated into the Campbell and Collage pendant luminaires. In the Collage pendant luminaire, the number of layers has been increased and the pattern, light and shadows more closely reproduce the uncontrollable natural light.

Lighting system

The luminaire emits a symmetrical light directed mainly downwards. The patterns on the three laser-cut acrylic screens have been cleverly staggered to eliminate the glare from the source. The patterns differ between the screens, translating into different perceptions of light and shadow based on the viewing angle. By mounting the lower anti-glare screen it is possible to obtain a soft and comfortable light.

LOUISE CAMPBELL

Louise Campbell was born in Copenhagen in 1970. Her father was Danish and her mother English, she grew up and studied in both countries. After graduating from the London College of Furniture in 1992, she returned to Denmark to continue her studies in Industrial Design at the School of Design of Denmark, graduating in 1995. In 1996 she set up her own studio where she continues to work today. His interests are mainly aimed at furniture and lighting design, but his studio also deals with interior design projects.
