CD35 – CD Player
The CD35 is an award-winning, full-size modular CD player with extraordinary capabilities, featuring a state-of-the-art, low-resonance dedicated CD drive and the most sophisticated digital-to-analogue conversion stage, with the option to add full Prisma networking technology at any time.
Technology
Every component of the CD35 – the drive, the DAC and the output stage – work together in balance and harmony, helping to create the finest CD player Primare has ever offered.
At the heart of the CD35 is a state-of-the-art TEAC dedicated CD drive that feeds a jitter-free digital signal to a completely new DAC stage that uses a superb sounding eight-channel ESS Sabre chipset to convert the signal to analogue and send it to a finely tuned output stage.
Its modular design allows a Prisma control and network module, SM35.
The look and feel of Scandinavia
We believe that every aspect of our products, the way they look, the satisfying feel of the controls, contributes to the overall experience of living with Primare. As a result, Primare products exude the hallmarks of Scandinavian design: simple, elegant designs, with accessible, easy-to-understand functionality.
An example of this are the control buttons, carefully crafted to provide the best tactile sense when used: not too big or too small, too soft or too hard, not too close or too far from the faceplate surface, or as we say lagom, not too much and not too little, all in balance, proportion and harmony.
Modular design and systems building
We believe it is essential to offer modularity where possible to get the right features, both now and in the future. Modular design features in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers, as well as the PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which are upgradeable with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player to which the Prisma module can be added, either at the time of purchase or at a later date. As a result, we are able to offer a carefully considered range of models and configurations to enable selection of the device that best suits any system requirement. For example, a CD35 with the Prisma module installed can be paired with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing separation of the analogue and digital stages. Alternatively, an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be paired with a DD35 CD transport, allowing multi-room and multi-zone playback of every input, both analogue and digital.
