Designed by Poul Henningsen in 1931, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp is based on the iconic three-shade system known as System PH, originally created in 1926, in which three blown glass shades provide a soft, glare-free light. Named after the curvature of its stem, the Petite table lamp has a distinctive shape and an adjustable head that can rotate 45 degrees in either direction to direct the light where it is needed. Until the mid-1950s, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp was made of brass and was available with amber, red or yellow glass shades, as well as classic opal glass. Perfect for modern interiors, the PH 2/2 Question Mark table lamp is available in the popular combination of chrome with milky white opal glass shades.

Lighting system

The luminaire is designed according to the principle of a reflective multi-shade system that emits glare-free, downward-directed light while radiating a pleasantly soft glow. The shades are made of mouth-blown, triple-layered opal glass, polished on top and sandblasted matt on the bottom, for a soft, even distribution of light. The adjustable upper part of the lamp can be tilted 45 degrees to the right or left by turning the handle in the middle of the arm.
