Technology

The I25 Prisma modular integrated amplifier is the latest iteration of Primare's now iconic integrated amplifiers and among the first to use our new UFPD 2 power system, a radical reworking of Primare's award-winning all-analogue Class D UFPD technology.

Delivering 100 watts into 8 ohms of absolutely linear UFPD 2 amplification across the entire audible bandwidth, the I25 Prisma DM36 delivers a naturally fast, clean and agile sound with an unprecedented ability to bring music to life.

The I25 Prisma DM36 includes both the sophisticated DM36 digital-to-analogue converter module and a Prisma SM35 network player module, to create an extraordinarily versatile system control centre.

The DM36 is a complete digital-to-analogue conversion stage allowing conversion up to PCM 384kHz/32-bit and DSD 256, with upsampling options and MQA processing.

MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that reproduces the sound of the original master recording. The MQA master file is fully authenticated and is small enough to stream or download.

The I25 Prisma DM36 continues Primare's tradition of delivering stunning performance from compact, elegantly designed integrated amplifiers that are easy to install in any living environment.

Prisma – Network and Multiroom Technology

Prisma is a suite of technologies that provide the widest range of functionality and features in a network music player. Created primarily as a streamer that would allow everyone, everywhere, in the home to explore, discover and share the deeply satisfying experience of high-performance music playback, Prisma provides multi-room/multi-zone connectivity and control of both wired and wireless streamed and stored media, all managed from mobile devices via the dedicated Prisma system control app.

In addition to AirPlay 2, Bluetooth ® , Roon Ready* and Spotify Connect ® , Prisma features Chromecast built-in, a unique streaming portal that allows for easy direct connection to hundreds of streaming apps and services, including voice control, for the best possible performance and user experience.

Modular design and system building

We believe it is essential to offer modularity where possible to get the right features, both now and in the future. Modular design is featured in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers, as well as the PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which are upgradeable with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player to which the Prisma module can be added, either at the time of purchase or at a later date. As a result, we are able to offer a carefully considered range of models and configurations to enable you to select the device that best suits your system requirements. For example, a CD35 with Prisma module installed can be paired with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing separation of the analogue and digital stages. Or, an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be paired with a DD35 CD transport, allowing multi-room and multi-zone playback of every input, whether analogue or digital.
