Luigi Ferrario

Luigi Ferrario is an Italian architect born in Busto Arsizio in 1955. He graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin in 1980 and obtained a master's degree in architectural and environmental restoration from La Sapienza University of Rome in 1982.

After graduating, Ferrario worked for a period as a teaching assistant at the Polytechnic of Milan. In 1985, he opened the Laboratorio Architettura Contemporanea, an architecture studio and gallery, in Rome, with the inaugural exhibition "After Post-Modern Architecture".

In 1989, Ferrario moved to Milan, where he founded his own design studio. His work focuses on a wide range of projects, including architecture, interior design, and exhibition design.

Ferrario's style is characterized by a holistic approach to design, combining aesthetics with functionality and sustainability. His projects are often inspired by nature and culture, and focus on creating environments that are beautiful, useful, and environmentally friendly.

The restoration of Legnano Castle (2009)

The residential complex “I Giardini di Milano” (2012)

The Museum of Italian Design in Milan (2018)

Ferrario has received numerous awards for his work, including the Gold Medal Award for Italian Architecture (2009) and the Mies van der Rohe Award (2010). He has also been invited to participate in numerous international exhibitions and conferences.
