The REL 212 Black Label is a high-end subwoofer that represents the pinnacle of the S series production, aimed at those who want deep, dynamic and absolutely authoritative bass even in the largest rooms. And it is precisely in large rooms or generously sized home theaters that the 212 Black Label demonstrates all its authority, filling the space with controlled, articulate and theatrical bass, without sacrificing clarity, detail or tonal coherence.

Inside it coexist two 12-inch active drivers with CarbonAlloy technology diaphragms and two 12-inch passive radiators, one pointing downwards to maximize the extension of deep bass and the other pointing rearwards to expand the sound image in height and depth, driven by a 1,000-watt Class D linear amplifier, capable of vigorously pushing the active drivers.

This combination allows the 212 Black Label to deliver a wealth of bass that is not only powerful, but also surprisingly fast, articulate and rich in tonal nuance, with a frequency response of down to –6 dB at around 18 Hz, allowing even the deepest frequencies to be captured with naturalness and authority.

The cabinet is then carefully designed, adopting a "triple-plane" structure to optimise sound output and reduce unwanted resonances. Therefore, internally, die-cast aluminium elements and high-rigidity materials ensure mechanical stability and clear reproduction, while the exterior sports a highly refined 'Piano Black' lacquer finish, with sandblasted metal handles for a sophisticated and robust style.

In terms of connection options, the REL 212 Black Label offers great versatility, as it features a high-level input via Neutrik Speakon, ideal for integrating into hi-fi stereo systems and receiving the same signal as the main speakers, maintaining tonal and dynamic coherence, while alternatively low-level inputs (RCA) and LFE inputs (RCA or XLR) are available for home theater systems, a flexibility that makes it suitable for both high-end music systems and multi-channel cinema setups.

Furthermore, thanks to compatibility with the optional REL Acoustics AirShip Direct wireless module, you can enjoy high-quality wireless signal transmission without sacrificing speed, dynamics or definition, which makes it particularly useful for positioning the subwoofer without cable constraints.

Thanks to the technical solutions adopted, the result obtained is therefore that of a subwoofer that does not limit itself to just 'adding bass', but becomes a fundamental pillar of the entire acoustic system, capable of making music more engaging, with deep bass, rich in dynamics and musicality, but also of giving soundtracks a realistic cinematic impact.
