New energy label
The EU energy classification label was first introduced in 1995. Its purpose is to provide accurate, recognizable and comparable information on energy consumption and is considered representative of the technological progress of different household appliances .
The new energy rating label will give the industry more room for development and make it much easier for customers to compare products.
The main change is that the previous ratings efficiency ratings have been scaled back to a simple AG rating, with no further differentiation.
A+++/A+ ratings, for example, will no longer exist.
This update only affects the following product categories: washing machines, washer dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and wine coolers.
