200 Series: The modular system for storing wine at the perfect temperature
The RW204070 is the wine cabinet of Gaggenau's 200 series, designed for fully integrated under-counter installation in a standard niche measuring 60 cm wide and 86 cm high. The two independent climate zones allow you to simultaneously store white and rosé wines at cooler temperatures in the lower zone and red wines at slightly warmer temperatures in the upper zone, respecting the ideal serving temperatures for each type without any compromise. The 19% UV-treated glass door protects bottles from light without compromising the visual enjoyment of your collection.

Dynamic Cooling Technology and Humidity Control
Dynamic cooling ensures even temperature distribution in both climate zones, eliminating cold spots and variations that could alter the maturation process. Automatic defrosting occurs through water evaporation, without ice formation or cycle interruptions. Humidity regulation protects corks from drying out, a key condition for proper long-term storage. Constant air purification via an activated carbon filter in every climate zone eliminates odors that could compromise the quality of the wine.

38 bottles with removable oak and aluminum bottle racks
The RW204070 holds up to 38 standard 0.75-liter bottles with a total capacity of 101 liters. The 5 bottle racks, 4 of which are removable, are made of oak and aluminum—noble materials that respect the wine and enhance the aesthetics of the collection. It can store up to 4 magnum bottles, making it suitable for even collections of special formats. Side-by-side installation with a second module is possible with the RA297600 accessory, allowing you to create a visually striking wine cellar.

Open Assist, lock and soft-close
The door is equipped with the Open Assist system, which allows for handle-free opening with a simple touch, ideal for kitchen layouts with uniform fronts and no protruding elements. The soft-close ensures silent and controlled opening and closing. An optional key lock (accessory RA220010) protects the wine cellar from unwanted openings. The flat hinge is reversible, with a 115° opening angle and the option to lock at 90°.

Dimmable LED lighting and certified sleep mode
The 3000K LED interior lighting adjusts automatically as the door opens and closes, gradually dimming. The presentation light is dimmable even with the door closed, allowing you to showcase your collection as if in a designer wine cellar. The Star-K certified sleep mode allows the appliance to respect specific religious observances: in this mode, the door can only be opened using the handle. The visual and audible alarm signals open doors and operating anomalies.

UV protection and installation notes
The front glass with 19% UV transmission protects bottles from light without altering the presentation of the cellar. UV protection is essential for aging wines: ultraviolet light accelerates the oxidation of polyphenols and degrades aromatic compounds. Fully integrated undercounter installation, recess width 60 cm, height 86 cm, minimum depth 565 mm. Height-adjustable feet. For installation next to a side wall, allow 7 mm/238 mm on the hinge side.
