Assembly precautions

Depending on the type of installation (surface-mounted or flush-mounted, with or without a cover), the position of the recess and the knob may vary

Align the knobs with the burners

Always follow the installation drawings for the knobs. If the panel is thicker than 23 mm, allow for a gap at the back

If several Vario 400 series appliances are combined, the VA 420 connecting element must be used between the individual appliances. Depending on the type of installation, the corresponding connecting element must be provided

The load-bearing capacity and stability, especially in the case of thin worktops, must be supported by suitable substructures. Take the weight of the appliance and additional loads into account

Additional instructions for flush installation: Installation is possible in stone, synthetic or solid wood worktops. The thermal resistance and watertightness of the cut edges must be observed. For other materials, please consult the worktop manufacturer.

The groove must be continuous and uniform, to ensure correct positioning of the appliance on the gasket. Do not use a discontinuous covering.

The width of the joint may vary due to dimensional tolerances of the combinations and the cutout in the worktop.

If installing several appliances in individual niches, allow a space of at least 50 mm between the niches.

Special nozzles can be ordered separately.

The electrical connection is essential for the operation of the appliance.

With a total absorption greater than 11 kW, local regulations regarding ventilation, room dimensions and combination of extractor or recirculation hoods must be respected

The minimum distance between the gas hob and the wall unit above it is 76 cm

The minimum distance between the hob and the hood is indicated in the installation instructions for the extractor unit

Combination with the VL 414 extraction centre is not recommended due to the excessive distance between the central burner and the hood itself
