Obsidian Folded Motion® XT Gen2 Tweeter

The Gen2 Obsidian FMT XT tweeter has been upgraded with a larger motor to provide increased power output and lower distortion. The FMT XT delivers the smoothest, most detailed sound in the Motion range with a 40% increase in surface area over our signature FMT. In addition to our legendary electrostatic drivers, these new tweeters deliver our cleanest, most detailed and accurate high-frequency presentation to date.

Folded Motion ® Waveguide

After extensive evaluation of nearly 50 design options, the Folded Motion® waveguide profile was meticulously chosen to harmoniously align with the dispersion pattern of the midrange drivers, resulting in improved output. The waveguide ensures consistent sound quality regardless of the listener's position and minimizes unwanted reflections in the room. Proper waveguide design is critical as it helps control the dispersion pattern of the sound, ensuring that the sound is evenly distributed across the listening area and resulting in optimal sound quality.

Nomex® - Kevlar® Reinforced Midrange

The Nomex®-reinforced Kevlar® mid-bass drivers in the Motion® XT C100 offer a perfect balance of light weight, strength, anti-resonance and anti-ringing properties for unmatched sound quality. When paired with the Gen2 Obsidian FMT XT, the clarity of vocals, dialogue and instrumental accuracy is unmatched at any volume. Seamless integration with Motion® XT CI products makes it easy to create custom solutions.

Anti-lobing Center Channel Design

Motion® center channels use a 2.5-way crossover design to eliminate lobing and preserve the tonality of the source material. This results in a significant reduction in negative effects on sound reproduction, resulting in a more precise and accurate listening experience.

Hanging Center Cabinet

The unique tilting design of the Motion® cabinet allows for improved clarity and immersion when placed on a low shelf or cabinet, directing the sound upwards towards the listener's ears.
