From the first listen, it was clear that this YBA player exuded timeless beauty and elegance. The delicacy, combined with extreme precision, in the reproduction of violins, for example, gave the CD430 a level of credibility that was hard to find elsewhere.

The Passion 430 CD player was introduced in November 2013, answering the need for those who wanted to own a Passion CD player rather than the Passion CD transport available at the time.

The top-loading player, equipped with a Philips CD PRO mechanism, integrates a Cirrus Logic DAC. Four rocker switches on the front panel control on/standby, stop/play/pause, previous/next track, and source. To start playing a CD, once the disc is placed on the platter and the clamp is secured, simply slide the door slightly (about 2 cm). All information is then displayed on the front panel.

Source control switches between CD and USB. The USB input allows for direct connection to a PC/MAC. Operation is completely independent of the computer's sound card and works whether the computer is equipped with one or not. Windows users must download a driver to their PC to use the USB input. In addition to the RCA or balanced analog outputs, the CD 430 also features a coaxial output with a dedicated on/off switch, which can be used as needed.
