MQA (Master Quality Authenticated)

The R100 features built-in MQA technology, allowing it to play MQA audio files and streams, delivering sound faithful to the original master recording. The R100's display indicates that the unit is decoding and playing an MQA stream or file, and specifies its provenance to ensure the sound is identical to the source material. It lights up blue when playing an MQA Studio file, which has been approved in the studio by the artist/producer or verified by the copyright holder.

Features include multiple digital inputs, including optical, coaxial, USB and Bluetooth, as well as AirPlay streaming and network services for Tidal, Spotify, Qobuz and Deezer. Simply add a pair of speakers and you have a complete entertainment system.

Easy to use both via the remote control and the 130 x 71 mm TFT LCD touchscreen, the R100 offers numerous options: the two USB inputs allow you to scan tracks from USB drives and transfer them to the "local tracks" folder, where they are categorized by title or artist, even alphabetically depending on your preference. The USB stick must remain connected to continue playing songs on the unit.

Adding a USB DAC provides a direct connection to your PC/Mac, making operation completely independent of your computer's built-in sound card, regardless of whether you have a sound card or not. If you're using a Windows PC, you'll need to download software; this isn't required for Mac.

The setup process gives you the ability to customize the product to your needs, and whenever a firmware update is announced, updating is very simple.
